Subiect: ln 2007, Romania has recovered its position among the European countries, a
place it has always belonged to in terms of its cultural identity. This year that marked an Est-West premiere: Sibiu, one of the important Transylvanian cities was granted the title of European Capital of Culture together with Luxembourg and the Great Region. With a broad-minded cultural vision, the Astra Museum has seized and cultivated througout the year the "astral moment" of the Romanian culture in general and for Sibiu in particular - the multi-institutional, multi-categorical, multi-ethnic, multidenominational and multi-cultural dialogue, which is a distinguishing mark of the city of Sibiu.
