  • Subiect: Projects to create Transylvanian military units from former prisoners or immigrants in the USA (1917) The present study aims at investigating two interesting projects developed during the First World War. Unfortunately they were not put into practice. In the second decade of April 1917, in conjunction with the reorganization of the Romanian army, Romanian circles, but also the Entente, began to think of the possibility of creating military units consisting of Romanian prisoners of war who had previously fought in the Austrian - Hungarian army.
