Reforma religioasă din Transilvania în secolul al XVI-lea în dezbatere dietală. Confesiunea unitariană şi dieta de la Turda (6-13 ianuarie 1568)

  • Subiect: The Reformation, religious movement initiated by Martin Luther at the beginning of the 16th century, had spread rapidly in all the European regions. Among the areas that adhered to the Reformation are also the urban regions (at the beginning, followed, in the end, also by the rural regions) from Transylvania, where the Lutheranism (1550) and, subsequently, the Calvinism (1564) become official confessions. Shortly after, a third Reformation current, the Unitarianism, joined the other two, promoted by Francisc David, strongly supported by the prince Ioan Sigismund. The full recognition of Unitarianism as religion betided following the Turda diet debate (6-13 January 1568), when it took its place among the official religions, alongside the Roman-Catholic, Lutheran and Calvin religion.
