Gravuri de Daubigny în colecţia particulară Sandra Slătineanu Sturdza

  • Subiect: Mrs. Sandra Slătineanu Sturdza's art collection is one of the most important in Romania, especially for the original engravings. Very interesting are the 16 engravings put together under the title "Voyage en bateau" engraved by Charles Daubigny in 1868 after he was drawing the sketches during a travel by his own boat, named "Botin" on the river Sene. Each engraving is followed by a text, as an illustrated story. Master of landscapes, Charles Daubigny is considered the first artist who painted in "plein-air" and the first impressionist painter.
