  • Subiect: „This contribution refers to the evolution of the waste dumps, which remain in the Petroşani Basin after the coal mining. These dumps evolved from the initial conic shape, to the one in superposed terraces, due to specific works. In this manner, their new morphology allows better their re-integration in the landscape as well their utility for economic targets. The dump rehabilitation may be natural, without any human influence, based on spreading of plants vegetating nearby. Their seeds have a high dissemination capacity. Another way for rehabilitation, involves plant cultures, which are able to reconstruct after a period the vegetation once destroyed by the coal mining dumping works.”
