Restaurarea icoanei pe lemn "Maica Domnului cu Pruncul"

  • Subiect: THE RESTORATION OF THE ICON ON WOOD „VIRGIN MARY WITH THE CHILD" The icon „Mother of God with St.Nicholas and St. John the Baptist" is a transilvanian icon with greek influences. The painted support is quite well preserved but the painted surface is damaged on 30% an the gold leaf is damaged as well. The icon has an inscription dated in 1825. The icon was restored and the chromatic reconstruction was made in watercolors included the places were the gold leaf was damaged. The back of the icon was cleaned and preserved. The icon was protected with dammar venice.
