Naşterea unui monument - Ion. I.C. Brătianu

Subiect: One of the noted members of the Brătianu family - Ion I. C.Brătianu - has his monument still standing in Bucharest, in spite of the destructions mast of the interwar public statues underwent during the communist epoch. The monument, made of granite, is due to the Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic, and was raised at the initiative of Elisa Brătianu, with the large support if the epoch authorities. The article presents the documents and actions that resulted in the making of one of the mast expressive and best esthetically achieved monuments in the Romanian Capital.
