  • Subiect: „The first decade of our century represented for the maritime harbourtown of Constantza an important stage for its connection with our national marine. Becoming port of residence for Maritime Division, Constantza, housed, beginning with 1899, the naval schools which until this date, have been worked in Galatzi. The transfer of these schools was the copsequence of ,the conjugated efforts of the Maritime Division commander and mayoralty from Constantza for acquiring the necessary buildings in which, these teaching institutions to deploy their activity. The training of naval officers and warrant officers in Constantza contributed to the cultural development of the town, where in 1909 was built and inaugurated a special edifice for the naval schools, that at present houses the Romanian Naval Museum. ”
