  • Subiect: The article presents the unpublished correspondence (14 letters) between the great genealogist George O.Florescu ( 1893 - 1976), a well-known historian of the old Bucharest, and his friend and distant relative Dinu Tărtăşescu, a lawyer who lived in Reghin, after the Second World War. The first letter dates from the 19th of august 1962, whereas the last from the 23 rd January 1975. The originals are in the possession of the author of this article. The correspondence brings many details about the biography and the scientific activity and work of George O.Florescu. The letters are also very much focused on genealogical issues linked to the boyar families of Wallachia to whom Dinu Tărtăşescu was related. (M.S.R.)
