  • Subiect: New coins from the coin hoard of Cuceu The paper deals with 17 newly acquired coins from the hoard of Cuceu (see f.n. 1): 15 republican denarii and two early Balkan imitations of spread flan thasian tetradrachms of the Dionysos-Herakles type. Very important is the denarius no 15, issued in 48-47 B.C.; it represents the most recent coin of the hoard. Accordingly the hoard was buried in ±46 B.C. Key to plate: coins no 8-11 and 14-17. Coins no 8-11 and 15 are enlarged 2 x; no 14 and 16-17 are 1 x. For abbreviations see f.n. 1.
