  • Subiect: The Reunion of Women from Baia Mare In this article the author tries to reconstitute the prodigious activity carried on by the Romanian Women's Reunion from Baia Mare (a town in the north of Romania). In this attempt he relies on archive documents. The reunion's work aimed at the social, economic and cultural emancipations of the women. The author points out the ingeniosity and clear sightedness of the members of the reunion in putting into practice the proposed objectives from their programmer. They also had a fruitful cooperation with the mayoralties, economic organizations. priva e persons, female personalities, or female associations outside the county. They carried on a vast activity which had in view the enlighten of the villages, they also tried to implant the objectives and the programmer of the reunion in the whole north west of Romania: Sighetul Marmaţiei, Carei, Satu Mare. The article ail.so gives information about Marta Iepure an active worker in the social, economic and cultural ground, a fighter for the wellbeing of the community. The author nuderlines the contribution of the Reunion of Women from Baia Mare in the critical moment following the Great Union of all Romanian territories into Romania (1918) to the improvement of hard conditions in was the population was living.
