Beside the proper enemy, the army had to fight also the epidemic of cholera which was an enemy hard to beat. The doctor-colonel Săndulescu Constantin treated very carefully this subject in his paper-works which were published in the "Military Magazine", as well as in "The History of the Sanitary Service of the Army in the World War I".
