  • Subiect: A Historiographic Mark and its Signification: BCMI, 1/1908 (Regarding the Restoration of the Lordly Church from Argeş) In the present paper are presented the circumstances under which the official publication of the ex-Committee for the Historical Monuments appeared more than a century ago. It was known as BCMI and its firs fascicle is dated 1908, January-March. The magazine was meant to present the work that the Committee for the Historical Monuments carried out for the protection and fixing and restoration of the historical monuments from Argeş, among them being the Saint Nicholas Lordly Church from Curtea de Argeş. Regarding the works meant to be effected for this church the magazine indirectly reveals the fact that the restoration project was temporarily ceased because of the political issues, among other things. In fact, in the same period began the construction of a huge cathedral at Sulina, thus the amount intended for the restoration of the church from Curtea de Argeş was used for the construction of the cathedral.
