Catedrala Patriarhei Române - important monument de istorie bucureşteană

  • Subiect: Since the 17th century, the church founded by the ruler Constantin Şerban and his wife Bălaşa has been one of the mast important ecclesiastical buildings in Bucharest and a real architectural mark within the emblematic monuments of the Romanian Capital. lt functioned as the headquarters of the Romanian Patriarchy. Strangely, several attempts were made to have it demolished (and this, even previous to the communist church-demolishing fashion)- all of them unsuccessful, due probably to the durability of the building.
