Magia hotarelor. Dincolo şi dincoace de hotar

  • Subiect: The beginning from the double meaning of the village 's boundary - the exterior limit, but also the agricultural area- this paper placed this spatial category in the archaical mentality and magical beliefs of traditional collectivities. Not only the space, but also its reflection in traditional imagination are relied by the relation between over here and over there, so as the boundary became an remarkable catalyzer of some magical acts, one of them good other are evil. The boundary of the village is considered a magical barrier which stop the maleficent spirits, it constituting in the same time a pool-space towards are send the evil things or which can stare the evil's unpleasant effects. Our attempt of recovering the traditional mentality specific in the archaic village (the purpose of a field research in several village from Sălaj) reveal a richness of magical acts performed at the boundaries. This is why a good part of this paper communicate the image of the boundaries as ancient and traditional magic ritual as it was revealed in therapeutically incantations texts used for healing animals or people.
