• Subiect: Tensions between the Romanian and Hungarian Communists in Transylvania in the aftermath of WWII In a complex internal situation, for reasons of front security and in order to prevent a series of interethnic incidents Stalin set up the Soviet military administration in Northern Transylvania. The withdrawal of the Romanian civil administration and its replacement with a Soviet one meant an extension of the general state of insecurity, with extremely negative consequences. During the four months of administration coordinated by the Soviet troops, important changes, regarding the political power in the province, took place.
