  • Subiect: Inhabitants of Bucharest – Donors of the Romanian Academy (1866-1948) The entire Romanian society has focused its attention on the Romanian Academy, the most important institution of culture & science of the country, from the very beginning. Many donations such as books, maps, stamps, paintings, real estates, agricultural & forest plots of land etc. were donated to the Romanian Academy . The most of them came from inhabitants of Bucharest. Among them there were members of the Romanian Academy. In fact all the most important members donated something to the Romanian Academy. But not only them. Beside them there were also university professors, advocates, doctors or ordinary inhabitants of Bucharest. Their gesture still represents an example & an appeal.
