Modernizarea platformei de digitizare a patrimoniului la Muzeul "Astra"

  • Subiect: The program Development of the infrastructure digitization of „ASTRA" Museum patrimony is an Internet/Intranet application based on data base services with added value. The topic of the present paper is concerned to present the achievements of Astra Museum in this domain. The great number of the users (monthly 1,000-2,000) of the museum's site was the reason for what it was strictly necessary to adopt new informatics applications. The aim of the adopted portal is both to present the collections of the museum and to provide for applications the curators need in the process of updating and completing and for new collections to be included in. A complementary aim is to ensure a new interface with the visitors/users and to create groups and communities additional to the museum activities. The objectives of this set of applications are a large gate open to the virtual public and to present the museum's cultural and touristic offer.
