Participarea Partidului "Totul pentru Ţară" în Dobrogea, la alegerile parlamentare din decembrie 1937

  • Subiect: „The fact that Dobrujan organisations of the party named "Everything For The Country" took part in the parliamentaru election in December 1937 could be achieved due to the politica! ascent of the Legionary Movement and also because of the lack of credibility encountered by the democratic regime. On the 25th of November 1937, the leaders of the Legionary Movement and those of the National signed an electoral non-agression memorandum, document that made possible for the legionaries to take in the election for Dobruja and many other regions of the county, with the politica! endorsement granted by the most important democratic party from the opposition, after in had been twice the leading politica! forece in Romania. Therefore, the porlitical prestige of the legionary Movement increased a great deal for Dobrujan public opinion and, consequently, this new status had been largely seized by the legionaries. By carring on a successful and offensive electoral campaign, concentrated on promoting a radical nationalism, the christian principles and also on removing the nagative influences of the Bulgarian iredentism, the legionary party "Everything For The Country", with a significant support from the Aromanians with legionary beliefs, succeeded in getting the third position in the election. Undoubtedly, this was achieved also because of an atmosphere of politica! confussion during the election, taking into account the fact the many strange alliances were concluded at that time - only for electoral reasons, on short term - between democratic parties and dictatorial forces. The fact that the legionary party "Everything For The Country" managed to get 14,1 % from the total amount of votes registred in Dobrojan countries (15,58 % at national levei) highlighted that the entire population was mistrustful in the democratic regime, taking into account the sharpening of the economic, social and political crisis, and, consequently, a political force - whose strategy aimed at promoting a totalitarian leading system - succeeded in getting all the necessary credit. The above-mentioned status created in Dobruja, resembling to that registred at national levei, was used by King Carol II and his subservient political, economic and financial circles in order to establish a personal royal dictatorship regime in the following period.”
