Preocupări ale protopopului Petru Maior pentru înzestrarea bisericilor cu cărţi necesare săvârşirii serviciului religios

  • Subiect: One of the most important figures of the Transylvanian School, Petru Maior carried on an important part of his activity in Reghin and in the area belonging to the Greek-Catholic Parish, cured by Maior for 24 years. Among the activities developed by the vicar from Reghin were the frequent canonic visits, the founding of Romanian schools but also his concern for assuring the necessary of cult objects for the parishes placed under his administration; the present study examines the acquisition of books needed for committing the religious service, books containing numerous annotations made by the vicar from Reghin when those books were bought or in the period of his canonic visits.
