  • Subiect: The paper is focused to present the most recently improvements realized by the library of „ASTRA" Museum. The author presents a short history of the library since its foundation in 1991. From the very beginning the library was included as component part of „Cornel lrimie" the Documentary and Information Center. At the beginning the library had 1,289 volumes and today it has 14, OOO volumes. The „ASTRA" Museum library is included in the category of libraries with scientific profile, most of the books are belonging to Ethnography, Ethnology, Conservation, Restoration and other domains closely connected to the above mentioned fields such as: History, Geography, Sociology, Anthropology and many reference materials dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibliographies, etc. The nowadays information is more and more rapid so the library was implemented into the computerized system. The information is much more accessible and the users needs are satisfied on the spot. „ASTRA" Museum library has chosen the Share Point informational system and also it has its own Publishing House EDITURA ASTRA MUSEUM.
