Subiect: About the Historical and Christian Orthodox Monuments from the Dârmăneşti Parish, Argeş County
This paper based on documents presents the historical and Christian-Orthodox monuments of the parish’s villages, including the main village, Dârmăneşti, and the village Piscani, where is found the oldest historical monument, i.e. the church ”St. Nicholas”, and the villages Negreni, Valea Rizii (all of them situated on the left bank of Râul Doamnei), and Valea Nandrii, from the right bank of the river, all of them old localities, their traces dating from the beginning of the Bronze Age. From a spiritual point of view the people of the parish are Christian-Orthodox, as their ancestors, a proof of this fact being the presence of some places of warship in very old times.
