Maeştri sătmăreni de odinioară (III) Goth Mor (1873-1939)

Subiect: The purpose of the authors of this study is presentation of noteworthy personalities of artistic life from Satu Mare, unjustly omitted, even if through their creation they had a well-deserved place in the hierarchy o fpictorial values. Goth Mor, born in Negreşti-Oaş, is part ofy oung talents that followed the founder of Painting Colony from Baia Mare, Hollosy Simon, from Munchen in the picturesque town from Săsar river. After more years spent in Baia Mare, near Hollosy, he will follow his master to Hunedoara, then to Teceu. Being rediscovered by one of the most talented Hungarian painters at the beginning of XX-th century, Mednyanszky Laszlo, Goth Mor will be present in the big exhibitions of young painters in Vienna, Budapest. Distinguished with several prizes, his naturalist works were appreciated by public. He will settle down in Holland, were he will get acknowledgement.
