Prevederi referitoare la dreptul de moştenire al pământului în actele de confirmare ale Bulei de Aur (1222)

  • Subiect: The right to property was one of the main features of nobility in the Middle Ages, playing therefore an important part in the medieval laws. In Hungary, because of the specific social structure (the kindred – the extended family), the most important feature of property was the inheritance of the land. The first law that clearly enounced the mechanism of the inheritance of the land in medieval Hungary was edited by King Andrew the 2nd in 1222. This law was afterwards modified, in the documents that confirmed the famous Golden Bull. The changes reflect the enforcement of the individual property, but also the dissolution of the social system based on the kindred. The most important change is brought by King Louis the 1st of Anjou, who annulled the right of the nobles to draw up a testament.
