A few years ago an archaeological roman setting from II-III centuries after Chr. was discovered in Strejeştii de Jos, Olt county. After a few archaeological tests performed bere there were discovered: a big brick pavement with an area of about 80 square meters (fig. 1-2). Safety pins (fibulae) of different types (fig. 3), roman ceramics of common use and a bronze coin from Hadrian. Within the framework of the same searching there were also traced out marks of foundations for brick constructions and of metalloid road. All these archaeological discoveries permit the location of Rusidava in Strejeştii de Jos, at about 7 kilometers south from Drăgăşani.
