Percepţia şi mentalitatea populaţiei din ţările române în evul mediu faţă de fenomenele naturale

  • Subiect: The Perception and the Mentality of the Medieval Population from the Romanian Countries About the Natural Phenomena The collective mentalities and their evolution represent a new historic research study direction. The fear in front of the divinity and nature as well as in front of the society, which is often seen as a sum of forces hostile to the peasants represented the three elements the Romanian medieval man feared. This emerged clearly from a fundamental reality that explains the writings about the misfortunes and tragedies (bad weather, floods, big taxes, invasions) versus a few happy moments: the family life, weddings, and births. The research study of the collective mentality of the medieval Romanian society is still a new domain for the historians which hopefully will be developed through further researches.
