Alpinii români din Italia pe fronturile reîntregirii

  • Subiect: Romanian Rangers in Italy on the Completion Front The present study approaches the contribution of the Romanian officers and privates enrolled in the Austria-Hungarian empire who were taken prisoners in Italy, to the liberation of their territories and to the making of the 1918 Great Union. Rangers battalion 1, Cloşca Volunteer Regiment had distinguished itself within the assault group of the Eighth Italian Army on the battlefield of Piave, especially in the battle of Vittoria Venetto speeding up the peace process between the Antanta and the Central Powers. Rangers battalion 1 came to the country and received the Zalău garrison as residency. The first part of the year 1918 it participated along with the entire Romanian Army to the strengthening of the Romanian Official Administration in Transylvania and to the defeat of the threatening Bolshevik movement in Hungary.
