  • Subiect: „Animal breeding has been one of the most important occupations of the Romanian people and in certain areas it was the most important occupation. This is the reason why people developed well organized systems concerning the well organization and functioning of such an activity depending on the politica!, economic and geographical features of the area. Such a system is found in Vîrciorova village, Caraş-Severin county, that is representative through: the way that the sheep-fold is organized, associeted and formed, ownership over the sheep-folds, high number of sheep-folds (14), the archaic unicellular plan of the sheep-fold, the hut, the milking room and the sheep-pen attached to the sheep-fold, the number of the fixed stone sheep-pen(4-5), the altitude where they were paced (over 2000m height), being very height for a village, keeping up the design of the building, its position, the annexes with the sheep-pen, ways and materials of building.”
