Conservarea colecţiei de "Acoperitoare pentru Masa Domnului" de la Curatoriul Bisericilor Reformate, Târgu-Mureş

  • Subiect: The textile collection of the Little church from Târgu Mures is a large one, over 40 pieces, and a beautiful one, too and is dated XVII-XXth century. The collection was preserved by the priests of this church during 400 years in unproperly conditions and unfortunately some of the objects were severely damaged. The collection was conserved in the Satu Mare County Laboratory of Restoration and Conservation. The process was a difficult one, because some of the pieces were embroidered with silver and gold and same were made of silk and the silk was very fragile. In the end the entire collection was preserved, and the objects are ready to be exhibited in the church.
