Dezvoltarea socio-economică a localităţii Botota în prima jumătate a secolului XX

  • Subiect: The Socio-Economic Development of Bobota in the First Half of the 20th Century The present study tries to describe the socio-economic evolution of Bobota in the first half of the 20th century. The beginning of the 20th century was a difficult time for the pays ants, as a consequence of the two world wars. Bobota had a good general economic and social evolution. The agrarian reform of 1921 and 1945 land to the inhabitants of Bobota. They were other economic units, too, in Bobota, and the most important was the coal mine, but this was also affected by the international economic crisis of 1929-1933. Yet, once the Communist system got the political power, both the coal mine and the other economic units were nationalized and the land properties were submitted to collectivization.
