  • Subiect: Artistic textiles in the collections of the National history Museum of Transylvania (17th - 18th centuries) The paper represents a selective presentation of the artistic textiles from the 17th-18th centuries, kept in the collections of the National History Museum of Transylvania. The choice of this mallcr has been mainly determined by the documentary value of the decorative art objects, which, linked as they were with the everyday life, promptly and directly reflect the evolution of material and spiritual civilization of any historically determined epoch. At the same time, the multitude and diversity of the objects belonging to this collection offered the necessary framework, within which the theme has been subject to analysis.
