  • Subiect: By its history and architectural evolution, the Mantuleasa Street can be considered a paradigm for the evolution of a residential area of Bucharest, inhabited by the middle class. The paper presents the stages in this evolution. The street preserved a residential function, with only two public buildings- the church (still standing today) and the school (demolished). Unfortunately, the interventions that occurred during the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st have most frequently ignored the value of the neighborhoods and the architectural harmony of the street.
