Dialectica tradiţiei în tipologia locuinţelor şi anexelor gospodăreşti din Munţii Apuseni (reconstituirea unui "crâng" moţesc în Dumbrava Sibiului)

  • Subiect: The tradition's dialectics in the typology of the house and homesteads from Apuseni Mountains Western Carpathians represent one of the most interesting regions of Romania. Situated between the middle valley ofthe Mureş and the valley of the Someşul Mic, these mountains are like an imposing natural fortress. Settlements from this area consist of scattered houses, which is a general characteristic of ancient mountain villages. Houses are dispersed in every village on the whole surface of its fields. Therefore the territory of a village coincides with its lands. Characteristic settlements of the Ţara Moţilor region are made up groups of two, three, five, six or more houses, each of these having its own name and being a distinct social unit. Diachronic research revealed the changes of this type of settlement. The evolution of these farmsteads can be divided into three phases, consisting of changes that could not destroy the farmsteads or their individuality.
