O expoziţie restrospectivă. La 45 ani de la întemeierea Muzeului Tehnicii Populare

  • Subiect: A retrospective exhibition (45 years since The Museum of Folk Technology has been founded) The topic of the present paper is the retrospective exhibition that was organized to celebrate 45 years since the Museum of Folk Technology was founded in 1963. The exhibition presents both the scientific and exhibition achievements after 45 years since the objectives of the initial project have been planned. From the great variety of topics of the present exhibition it was chosen as the one that is referring to the initial thematic project that was focused on the traditional folk technical creation and nowadays it is called by UNESCO the „pre-industrial". The topic of the anniversary exhibition is focused on the pre-industrial traditional folk technology exceptionally preserved and illustrated in the open air museum in Dumbrava Sibiului. Another major reason for the choice of this topic was the UNESCO decision that was adopte(ij in 2006, namely to be instituted the UNESCO Prize for the pre-industrial technical patrimony. This prize is undoubtedly the supreme recognition for the exceptional value on international level of the Romanian traditional technical patrimony. lt is preserved and exhibited in the open air museum in Dumbrava Sibiului.
