  • Subiect: Teachers from Sălaj District in the Anti-Fascist War In modern history of Romanians teachers are known to have taken part in all crucial events. The authors start from this truth and making use of some new data, point out the participation and contribution in the anti-fascist war, of some teachers, who by birth or their activity belonged to Sălaj county. In this respect the article presents the personality and heroic deeds of such teachers as Gheorghe Perneşiu, Mihail Bîrcă, Victor Sabău, Traian Seichei, Grigore Steţiu, Sabin Târău and, Ovidiu Rădulescu. In conclusion the authors underline the fact that the number of teachers from Sălaj as well as of those from the other parts of the country, who took part .in the struggle against the fascist aggressors, is much greater, that the moral and political, force of this social category is its distinctive feature.
