Fenomenul urban în nord-vestul României

  • Subiect: The Urban Phenomena in the North-West of Romania In this paper it is followed for a period of seventy five years (1910-1985), the way in which the urban phenomena has developed characterized by its main component - the population - in the north-west of Romania (the districts of Maramureş, Satu Mare, Sălaj), which has 6.1% of the surface of our country and 5.3% of its inhabitants. The done analyze aloud making evident the fact that the urban population from the region has increased from only 13.2% in 1910 (104,586 inhabitants) to 44.2% in 1985 (537,445 inhabitants), the increasing being of 6.1 times in Sălaj, 6.7 times in Maramureş and of 3.5 times in Satu Mare, in the condition of the existence of 7 towns in 1910 and 15 towns in 1985. At the level of the towns the most important increasing have been registered in Baia Mare (10.5 times), Zalău (6.8 times), Baia Sprie (3.8 times), Satu Mare (3.7 times), Şimleu Silvaniei (2.3 times). In the development of the urban phenomena there are two main stages, the first corresponding to the period 1910-1948, characterized by a relative standstill (13.2% in 1910 and 13.9% in 1948), and the second to the period 1948 -1985, when it has been registered a real revolution in the development of the towns in the north-west of Romania.
