Elitele occidentului medieval

  • Subiect: Medieval Western Elites is the most important part of society and a structure defining collective existence. The society was organized as a social and political system known as feudalism, which was characteristic of the Middle Ages. It was a system of social organization in which agrarian and military aristocracy owned the land and peasants. Through this social system, individuals were required to serve, to obey a superior. The king was at the top, then nobles (barons and lords), knights and clergy. However, western medieval cities had their own elite. They were led by a bishop or a senior, and later mayor and patricians.
