Cult of Mithras and the Mithras Descriptions on Trapezous City Coins

  • Subiect: The main purpose of this study is to present the bounding between the cult of Mithras and the coins issued in the city of Trapezous. The author outlines the fact that the monetary iconography speaks out about the history of Trapezous city, the Mithras symbols and images being maintained by the Romans, as a propaganda discourse for the Roman army which stayed in this region for a while.
