  • Subiect: Twenty silver and bronze coins of Callatis, issued during the autonomous period of the city are published. By its quite large number of the silver issues, this sample is very important. The diffusion of the coins issued by Callatis during its autonomous period, all across Dobroudja, proves the economic straight reached by the city at the beginning of the 4th century B.C. and its strong relationships established either with the other Greek colonies from Dobroudja, or with the autochthonous population.
