Early Byzantine Capidava: the Numismatic Evidence

  • Subiect: The article seeks to bring to the attention of the historians the monetary history of the Dobrujan area in the 6th—7th centuries, by presenting the numismatic finds from the settlement of Capidava. During the archaeological researches performed at Capidava a large amount of coins dated between the 6th and 7th centuries was found, which offered to the author the opportunity to make a critical analysis of the monetary circulation in the Early Byzantine Capidava.
