Boştinăritul- un meşteşug pe cale de dispariţie în localitatea Sebeşu de Jos.

  • Subiect: The tradition of prelucrating bee-wax, it was present in the village Sebeşu de Jos, Sibiu county 50 years ago. The existence of this tradition developed in this village technical devices used for the prelucration ofthe bee-wax. These technical devices called presses were 7 about 50 years ago and in the present stil exists two of them, but in a bad state of conservation. The tradition of the village in prelucrating bee-wax developed this ocupaţion and mast of the rural dwellers were involved in this ocupation which was transmited from father to son. In the past the people gat the bee-waxfron the provinces of Moldavia, Transylvania and Oltenia. Because they travelled a lot the main roads used for collecting the bee-wax were used also as their ancestors used them. The people founded a new village called Albina in another county. The relaţions developed between the villagers of Sebeşul de Jos and Albina were sustained by the anual vist af those villagers in Albina. Today the ocupation is not so present as it was 50 years ago.
