  • Subiect: Considerations about the Pilgrimage and Pilgrimage Songs in Northern Transylvania The author gives a systematic description of the religious pilgrimages on the occasion of the Assumption of the Virgin (15th August) in the villages of northern Transylvania. She expounds the preparations, the organization of the pilgrims' columns, the stages in the: development of the pilgrimage, the way it is conducted the various practices used. Then she analyses some of the soughs which were sung in this occasion.
