Scrisori de la Petre Ş. Năsturel

Subiect: The letters of Petre Ş. Năsturel (1923 - 2011), Romanian byzantinist settled in Paris since 1974, sent to his younger friend Mihai Sorin Rădulescu, can be seen as a testimony on several topics: the life of a Romanian intellectual in France, the links between the French and the Romanian culture, the study of the Byzantine heritage in the Danubian Principalities, aspects of the French and the Romanian historiography, problems of Greek history and etymology. The correspondence lasted for about twenty years and witnesses about the passion, intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness of the French-Romanian scholar. He never abandoned the historical subjects linked to the Greek-Romanian mediaeval links, but living in the West he enriched them with a broder perspective.
