Promovarea Cetăţii Râşnov prin conceptul de Living History

  • Subiect: The project Historical Reenactment - a tool for cultural valorization and sustainable development of the local community was developed in strong cooperation by Mioritics Association, Râşnov Municipality and Trondheim Vikinglag, during November 2014 - December 2015. It was aimed to implement the living history concept in the historical space of Râşnov Fortress. The project involved reenactment activities that facilitated the interaction of the Romanian audience with historical events and promoted Râşnov heritage in a playful manner. The activities of the reenactment group Living Rosenau, created through this project, focused on everyday life in community, recreating traditional crafts and old practices more than presenting the show fights, more popular for the Romanian public. Due to Trondheim Vikinglag experience, this project was aimed to implement living history concept promoting specific traditions and community history. The project was developed for two different moments of the local history: XIII century marked by Saxons colonization and the influence of Teutonic Knights and XVII century, when the fortress was most developed. The purpose of the project can be translated also in a partners’ intention to illustrate the regular life of a multicultural community between last years of Middle Ages to the early modern times.
