Muzeul C. I. şi C. C. Nottara – la 60 de ani de la deschidere – o poveste inedită –

  • Subiect: The building housing the C. I. and C. C. Nottara Museum was designed in 1929, by a friend of the Nottara fammily, arhitect Victor Stephanescu, son of musician Gheorghe Stephanescu, founder of the Romanian Opera institution. Victor Stephanescu also signed projects of some important buildings in Bucharest and within Romania as well. „The Nottara House” was inaugurated in 1931, The Lyrichal and Dramatic Artist᾿s Sindicate having also contributed in its building, with the sum of 120.000 lei. The C. I. and C. C. Nottara Museum was opened to the public following the donation due to Ana Nottara, wife of musician C. C. Nottara, on de 5th of November 1956. The museum belongs to the category of exhibitions that lead the visitor trough the everyday life – cosy and serene quotidian life of artists and intellectuals, in the end of 19th century Bucharest.
