Apariţia şi numele Bucureştiului – între adevăr şi legendă

Subiect: Sources concerning the early moments of the towns history have been quite searce anywhere on the European continent; thus, the documents revealed a bit later the separation of the town from the village world. It was the same with Bucharest, today’s capital town of Romania. Beginning with the 19th century both the birth and the name of the town arouse an ever increasing interest. Legends appeared yet nothing was known precisely because of the lack of documents. The place where the capital is located nowadays, was also important, as well as the economic and strategic reasons which have led to the emergence of today’s city.
