Ceremonialul funebru în Vrancea (contribuţii)

  • Subiect: FUNERARY CEREMONIAL IN VRANCEA (CONTRIBUTIONS) The study of the funerary ceremonial is based on our direct research on the field, in some villages which form an archaic nucleus of the Vrancea area. In the first part we have analyzed, from a comparative perspective, the main rites, focusing on their mythic-magical substrate and paying attention to the most important ceremonial and ethnographic objects of their components. Thus we have analyzed, with priority, the rites of the easing of the passing away, the burial of the deceased with commonday utensils, the wakening, ritual alms, and the death signs. The analysis of these components was carried out in all the stages which form the ceremonial, starting with the agony, then, the ceremonial of the burial, finally analyzing the rituals after the burial itself. We always bore in mind the sequences and elements of old tradition, as the particular ones, which confers the ritual a certain individuality, uniqueness and the status of regional variance. This aspect determined us to analyze the forms of ceremonial breads (colac), with distinct symbolics, the funerary arbore, the give-away fruit-tree, the house of the deceased, all which had a mythical – magical aspect.
