  • Subiect: The Map of the Freeholder Villages from the Counties Argeş & Muşcel Conformable to the Statistic Springs from the 19th Centuries After the social reform from 1864, the Romanian society was periodically, if not even permanently, confronted with the issue of the achievement of the property conformable to the spirit of its absolute & exclusive character present in the article 480 from the Civil Code. The proclamation of the individual property as a common right in Romania was done to the prejudice of the property status in severalty that characterized a large part of the country. The fundamental contradiction was: the landlords VS peasants; in addition the freeholders’ property was in an anarchical situation. The historians R. Rosetti, Gr. Tocilescu, Ştefan Greceanu, A. D. Xenopol, Nicolae Iorga, D. Onciul as well as some jurişti (D. Brezulescu, D. Şerbănescu Lopătari etc.) expressed different opinions about the age of the freeholders property, considering that it appeared before or after the formation of the Romanian medieval states.
