Ion Mihalache (1882-1963) şi Aleksandăr Stamboliiski (1879-1923) câteva consideraţii comparative

  • Subiect: Ion Mihalache (1882-1963) and Aleksandăr Stamboliiski (1879-1923). A few Comparative Thoughts One of the most important personalities of the Argeş-Muşcel area in the 20th century was Ion Mihalache (1882-1963), the founder-president of the Peasant Party (1918-1926) and one of the leaders of the National-Peasant Party (1926-1947). The present paper presents some significant aspects of his social & political ascension by comparison to the leader of the Bulgarian agrarians, Aleksandăr Stamboliiski (1879- 1923), the authoritative leader of the government from Sofia, between October 1919 and June 1923. Although there are some general similarities between the two leaders Ion Mihalache seems to be a more refined politician, more open minded regarding some ”right-wing” values & institutions (the individual motivation of the agricultural producers, the monarchy, the church, the traditions etc.). He was also an irreducible opponent of the communists.
