Restaurarea „Psaltirii împăratului şi proorocului David” publicată la Sibiu în 1826

  • Subiect: Restoration of the Psalter of the Emperor and Prophet David, Printed in 1826, in Sibiu The psaltery printed in Sibiu in 1826 is reserved for the religious cult of the Romanian Orthodox churches in Transylvania, not a luxury object, and the ornaments of the text are reduced to vignette and initials, plus the typographic border of the title page. Ink type: black carbon print and red cinnamon typographic. Black and red print with Cyrillic alphabet, 35 rows per page. In view of the many degradations that have acted upon this volume, it has been decided that this Psalter will be restored to full volume, and that each component of the book will enter into the complex restoration process. After the restoration work, it was found that the volume regained its unity, the tabs that make up the body of the book have become resilient to manipulation and close to the original look, and the wrapper is solid, functional and chromatically integrated close to the original state.
